Fulton County has a total of 17 high schools within its school system which provide education to children in the 9th-12th grade level. Many of the schools in Fulton County offer above average scores in College Readiness, Math and English. Many of the high schools in the area had students who tested well above state norms for College Readiness on a scale of 1-100 with 100 be the maximum score. Below is a look at some of the best high schools in Fulton County, Georgia.

Northview High School

Northview High School, located in Duluth, is part of the Fulton County school district and scored well above the state norms for college readiness coming in at 64.6 out of 100. Students at Northview High School have the opportunity to take Advanced Placement courses (AP) and an estimated 70% of students take part in this program. The student to teacher ratio is 18 to 1 which is in line with state averages and national averages.

Milton High School

Scoring 61.1 out of 100 on the college readiness index as defined by the US News & World Report, Milton High School students attend school in Alpharetta, Georgia on Birmingham HYW. Advanced Placement course work is offered and more than 70% of students take part in the program to increase their learning and gain college level skills. There is a slightly higher than normal student to teacher ratio of 19 to 1 but this doesn't seem to have a major impact on the number of students who are proficient in English, Reading and Math upon graduating from Milton High.

Alpharetta High School

Approximately 66% of students at Alpharetta High School take part in Advanced Placement course work and come out of Alpharetta High School well prepared for college. The overall College Readiness score for students in Alpharetta High School is 59.2 out of 100 which is well above national averages and right in line with state norms.

Chattahoochee High School

Located in Alpharetta, Chattahoochee High School provides Advanced Placement course work to about 58% of its student body preparing students for entrance into College Level academic programs. The college readiness score for students in this school is 54.6 out of 100 which is above the national averages. A student to teacher ratio of 18 to 1 provides students with the advantage of one on one teaching and study times.

Roswell High School

With average Math and English GPAs of 3.7, Roswell High School is one of the best high schools in Fulton County to date. Students score 50.8 out of 100 on College Readiness AP tests and have the advantage of a lower than average student to teacher ratio of 17 to 1. Approximately 55% of Roswell High School students take part in Advanced Placement course work in preparation for college level academics.
