Q-Zeens Catering is a Cut Above the Rest

By Marina I. Jokic

Based in Atlanta, Georgia, Q-Zeens believes that a tasty entrée is just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to catering. Wholesome ingredients, local vendors, and flawless customer service bring Q-Zeens into the ranks of Atlanta's elite caterers.

In business since 2005, head chefs and owners of the company LaWanda and Marcus Kirkland capitalize on the rich culinary traditions from around the world and make them their own. The 'soul' of the Q-Zeens menu epitomizes the owners' desire to explore diverse cuisines and create authentic flavors.

"We believe 'soul' cannot be confined to one geographic location," LaWanda Kirkland said. "While many equate 'soul food' with regionally stamped southern American cuisine, our selection of soul refers to the intended shared experience at the heart of each meal; our experience with cuisines inspired Q-Zeens."

The company focuses on providing a unique culinary experience that is tailored to the vision and expectations of each client. From gourmet Mediterranean to Asian fare, Q-Zeens cooks on the level of a fine dining restaurant but with a casual bent. The company likes to nurture lasting client relationships by providing consistently high customer service and cooking gourmet food that is priced reasonably.

"While admiring and respecting the classic tradition, we love creating unique and innovating entrees," Kirkland said. "Whether your event menu is Indian, Asian, Mediterranean, Mexican or Caribbean-inspired, Q-Zeens' cuisine will nourish both body and soul."

Some highlights from the menu include the smoked collard green eggrolls with sweet chili sauce and the beef sliders on brioche buns with a chili sugar rub, bread and butter pickle, topped with Q-Zeens' signature smoked sweet potato mayo.

"Our line of croissant bread puddings get the number one spot from me, all seven of the flavors we offer provide a rich, sweet, and warm dessert to our clients," Kirkland said. "The white chocolate croissant bread pudding is my favorite with our sweet potato croissant bread pudding coming in a strong second."

Harkening to a time when the dinner table was a place that brought family, friends, and neighbors together, Q-Zeens likes to treat their clients like family. A simple way of conveying that sentiment is by serving customers high quality, home-style meals that are prepared especially for their events.
