Love Inspires Louis Kingsley Catering and Events To Deliver Exceptional Event Experiences

By Pamela Sosnowski

For Aaron and Jin Masanotti, their catering business is truly a labor of love. When the two self-proclaimed "love birds" first met in 2010, each became enamored of the other's dog: Aaron's beagle Louis, and Jin's chocolate labrador Kingsley. The following year, Louis Kingsley Catering & Events (the name combines that of the two canines) was born.

Married in 2014, they now run the private chef catering company as a husband and wife team. "My husband Chef Aaron creates the menus, sources all menu ingredients local and fresh, and prepares it all for any and all events 10-350 people.," says Jin Masanotti. "I manage all other aspects of the business including day-to-day, marketing, sales, accounts/clients, event planning/design, and event management."

The Masanottis only take on as many clients weekly as they know they can manage, and so that they can get to know each customer and provide them with personalized attention and service. They are a hands-on operation, overseeing each event from start to finish and being present at an event to make sure everything runs smoothly.

"We are known for our personal customer service as well as amazing chef prepared food," says Jin. "We are proud to be a micro business and this is what sets us apart from all the other companies out there."

Some of the events that Louis Kingsley have managed include destination weddings, private chef dinner parties, and gourmet corporate lunches. Not only is the food locally sourced using fresh ingredients, but attention is given to presentation. Wedding cakes are quickly becoming a specialty of the company, with flavors ranging from Dutch chocolate to vanilla lavender, and decorated elaborately with buttercream and fondant icings. Almost every menu item is also available for tapas (small plate) dinner service.

"Many of the items are southern inspired," says Jin. Prior to starting this company Chef Aaron worked at the Ritz-Carlton Buckhead and was trained in the five and four star hotel/dining world for over five years. He never really had the opportunity to cook southern food until we started our company and many of our clients requested southern inspired food.

Our food is a marriage of fine dining and southern food. We are also happy to take any recommendations, ideas, and requests. We work with many clients who have dietary restrictions or needs and are happy to accommodate."

The Masanottis can now offer photography, flower arrangements, and event planning and design through their new sister company, Emersonian Revival Company. Jin is also a legal minister, and can perform marriage ceremonies anywhere in the U.S.

The couple were brought together through a mutual love for good food and starting a business they consider organic, creative, honest, and meaningful. Oftentimes, the couple feels like a part of the family or true friends with their clients by the end of an event. Says Jin, "This wonderful business has provided us with so much and we are grateful to see it grow along side the families we work with."
