GYMGUYZ Eliminates All Excuses by Bringing the Gym To You

By Pamela Sosnowski

When life gets in the way, getting to the gym becomes a low priority for most people as they try to juggle work, home life, and other responsibilities. With GYMGUYZ, however, the gym comes to the client so there's no excuse not to work out. According to Aaron Anthonsen, a franchise owner and coach that works for GYMGUYZ in the Senoia area, there are many benefits to receiving in-house personal training versus going to a gym.

"Work/family schedules make it difficult to get to the gym or even stick to a home self-guided program," he explains. "Having your own coach one-on-one several days a week provides accountability and takes the guesswork out of your routine. If you have a gym membership, you want to get the most out of it. Many of our clients also have gym memberships, and we get referrals from gyms because the clients are more likely to get better results and renew their memberships. Finally, lots of special considerations could make in-home training the best option. Since we customize our programs to you, we can account for a wide range of factors such as previous injuries, medical conditions, pre/ post-natal, seniors, kids, special needs, and so on."

GYMGUYZ was founded in 2008 by Josh York, a marketing professional that realized that gym attendance seemed to dwindle at night during his moonlighting as a personal trainer. After hearing too many excuses from members that couldn't get to training sessions in the evening he decided to create a solution by bringing all of the necessary equipment and instruction to the clients, whether they needed to work out from their home, office, or even a park.

The company and its clientele grew so much that in 2013 it opened its headquarters on Long Island. Contrary to the name, the "Guyz" in the name is an acronym for Genuine, Unique, You can do it, and Zero excuses, and many female coaches work for the company.

Sessions are as unique as each client that hires GYMGUYZ, and individualized programs are created based on each person's needs. GYMGUYZ coaches can train in all aspects of fitness including weight loss, body sculpting, kickboxing, cardio, strength training, pool workouts, professional sports conditioning, obstacle course training, and more.

Unlike a gym, there are no membership fees and the first visit is complimentary so that the client can be accessed then reassessed every 15 weeks to make sure they are exceeding their goals.

"The trainer-client relationship is critical for success, so we start with a free/ no-obligation fitness assessment and workout," says Anthonsen. "We'll complete an initial interview, body composition assessment, and initial workout where we'll gather all the data to design your program, and you'll get to see first-hand what it's like to work with a coach one-on-one."

Among GYMGUYZ' clients are those that have experienced a dramatic transformation in both their physical and emotional health by losing weight; several clients of all ages have lost 100 pounds or more and have gained energy and confidence. No matter what your fitness goals, GYMGUYZ can help you reach them with encouraging and patient coaches. For more information and to book your initial assessment, visit https://www.gymguyz.com.
